Matawan is a borough in Monmouth County, New Jersey. As of the United States 2000 Census, the borough population was 8,910. From the South: Take the Garden State Parkway North to exit 117 which is the Rt 36 exit toward Rt 35/Hazlet/Keyport/Aberdeen. Take the Rt 35 ramp toward Matawan/Hazlet/Middletown. Take the jughandle to get onto Route 35 North. Stay straight to go onto Broadway. Continue to follow Broadway and make a right onto Maple Place/CR-516. Take that 1.4 miles and end at 150 Main Street.
